Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced data infrastructure leader to design and implement secure data access controls, build robust data pipelines, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting and analytics. You will lead large-scale infrastructure projects, collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders, and drive technical direction across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a Software Engineer role (excl. internships).
• Experience building data infrastructure and distributed systems.
• 3+ years leading large-scale projects or teams.
• Ability to set technical direction for a team.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform or Pulumi).
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
• Knowledge of ITGC, GDPR, and financial controls.
• Background in data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, or analytics infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Fintech or financial services experience beneficial.
• Security engineering focused on data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data access control systems.
• Build data pipelines and warehouses for financial reporting.
• Ensure data integrity and availability for financial systems.
• Manage external relationships for revenue ingestion pipelines.
• Architect disaster recovery, backup, and replication systems.
• Ensure high availability of cloud storage and rapid data recovery.
• Scale data processing infrastructure using BigQuery, BigTable, Airflow, dbt, Spark.
• Optimize query performance and enable self-service analytics.
• Set technical direction for teams and lead large-scale projects.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, stakeholders.
