Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a data engineer to design and optimize data pipelines for federal mission data, leveraging Spark, Iceberg, EMR, and Kubernetes to enable scalable analytics and enforce data lineage and access controls across environments.

You will collaborate with data stewards, engineers, and mission partners to derive actionable value from data, and you will participate in Agile teams to implement robust, compliant data solutions for government domains.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience with ETL tools and data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud and on‑prem data storage/processing.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; Spark experience.
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch, NiFi, Palantir Foundry.
• Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data pipelines using Spark, Iceberg, EMR, and Kubernetes.
• Maintain data pedigree and enforce data access protections.
• Clean and preprocess data for advanced analytics.
• Collaborate to advance data standards.
• Collaborate with mission partners to derive actionable value from data.
• Collaborate with software engineers to update data services.
• Conduct quarterly analysis and recommend data tools for the new environment.
• Provide admin support and performance tuning for data tools.
