Job summary

Fusion Consulting AG seeks a mid-level Data Modeler (Snowflake) to support regional warehouse integration into a centralized Snowflake-based platform for the pharma sector. Strong Snowflake modeling skills and governance collaboration are required to deliver scalable, compliant data solutions.

You will design Snowflake schemas, optimize ETL/ELT processes with data engineers, and ensure governance alignment across teams in a distributed global environment.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience as a Data Modeler or similar role.
  • Strong Snowflake data modeling and SQL expertise.
  • Experience with governance, Collibra, and metadata management.
  • Proven collaboration with business users, product owners, and tech teams.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts; familiarity with dbt, Matillion or Fivetran is a plus.
  • Data Vault 2.0 and data modeling methodologies (Star schema, normalization).
  • Ability to document models and explain technical concepts to stakeholders.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Modeler (Snowflake) to support the integration of regional data warehouses into a centralized Snowflake-based data platform for our clients in the pharmaceutical industry. This mid-level role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in physical data modeling and implementation, particularly within Snowflake, and who can collaborate across data engineering, architecture, and governance teams. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the data platform is efficient, scalable, and compliant with best practices and governance standards.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Design and implement physical data models in Snowflake, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements
  • 4-7 years of experience as a Data Modeler or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake data modeling and SQL.
  • Strong business partnering, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gather, challenge, and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Proven experience working directly with business users, product owners, and technical teams to define data requirements, business rules, and data models.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and data integration concepts; experience with dbt, Matillion, or Fivetran is a plus.
  • Data Vault 2.0 experience is required.
  • Experience with metadata and data governance platforms, ideally Collibra.
  • Familiarity with AWS S3 is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling methodologies, including Data Vault, Star Schema, and Normalization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Preferred
  • Experience within pharmaceutical or life sciences organizations.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools such as Ataccama.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and facilitating requirements-gathering workshops.
