Job summary

Teradata seeks a Senior Data Modeler to lead enterprise-scale data modeling that powers analytics, AI, knowledge platforms, and governance across domains. You will translate complex business contexts into scalable conceptual, logical, and physical models, collaborating with engineering, analytics, governance, and AI teams.

You will establish standards, drive consistency, and ensure models support Teradata Context Engine for AI-ready data estates with reliability and auditability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data modeling, information architecture, or enterprise data architecture.
• Hands-on expertise creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of relational modeling theory, normalization, dimensional modeling, and analytical schema design.
• Experience modeling enterprise-wide business domains and integrating data across complex systems.
• Strong SQL and database design expertise.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Proven ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple business domains.
• Create scalable data models supporting transactional systems, operational platforms, analytics, ML, and AI workloads.
• Develop canonical data models, business information models, and semantic layers for consistent enterprise understanding.
• Drive standardization of entities, relationships, taxonomies, hierarchies, and business definitions.
• Define and enforce data modeling best practices, naming conventions, and architecture standards.
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement dimensional, normalized, denormalized, and domain-oriented models.
• Support data product development and data mesh architectures.
