Capgemini is seeking a Data Migration Engineer to design and lead complex data migration initiatives across on-prem and cloud environments. The role involves defining mappings, validation rules, and ensuring data quality while coordinating with product, QA, and business teams.

This position is based in the US with Day One onsite expectations and hybrid work flexibility. You will need strong ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, and cloud experience on Azure or AWS to drive successful migration delivery.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in data engineering or migration.
• Strong hands on experience with ETL/ELT tools and SQL Python.
• Experience with cloud data platforms Azure AWS.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and transformation patterns.
• Experience with testing validation and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to lead small teams or initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data migration pipelines and workflows.
• Define data mappings transformation logic and validation rules.
• Lead migration execution and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data accuracy completeness and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Product QA and business teams.
• Conduct data quality assessments and remediation.
• Support cutover planning and execution.
• Contribute to improving tools frameworks and processes.
