Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Lead Data Migration Engineer to drive data migration tasks and build ETL/ELT pipelines in a hybrid onsite setting in Westlake, TX. You will validate data, map transformations, and collaborate with senior engineers to ensure successful migrations.

The role requires deep SQL expertise, Python programming, experience with Informatica and Azure, and the ability to work across large data sets within complex systems.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language Python.
• Hands-on experience with complex SQL queries and SQL tuning.
• Familiarity with ETL tools Informatica and data platforms.
• Understanding of data modeling and databases.
• Public Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with large data sets.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETLELT pipelines.
• Perform data extraction transformation and loading tasks.
• Assist in defining data mappings and transformation rules.
• Execute data validation and reconciliation checks.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Collaborate with team members on migration testing.
• Document processes and support runbooks/playbooks.
