Job summary

INEOS Energy in Houston, TX seeks a strategic Data Management Lead to shape data strategy, governance, and delivery across the organization. This hands-on leadership role combines technical credibility with governance and execution oversight to deliver trusted data products for operations, analytics, and executive reporting.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in data management, especially in upstream oil & gas, with proven leadership and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering Information Systems or related field.
10+ years in data management, data architecture, or data engineering, with upstream oil & gas focus.
Proven experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, and Power BI.
Demonstrated leadership in data governance, data quality, and analytics function.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive data management program including operating model, governance, and delivery roadmap.
Define roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and ways of working across business, IT, and data teams.
Foster a collaborative, data-driven culture that values transparency, quality, and disciplined delivery.
Create standards, reusable patterns, and documentation for consistent delivery across the team.
Drive innovation by staying current with industry trends and new data technologies.
Design and implement scalable, secure data architectures using Snowflake, Azure, and Power BI.
Develop data models, pipelines, schemas, and semantic layers for BI and AI use cases.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulations and policies.
Oversee Azure cloud services for data storage, processing, and management.
