Job summary

BNY seeks a Senior Specialist, Data Management for the Economic Forecasting team in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL. You will manage macroeconomic and financial data, support model development, and collaborate across the bank to ensure accurate, timely scenario analyses.

Candidates should have a Master’s in a quantitative field and 2+ years’ experience in forecasting or research at a financial institution, with strong data skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
• 2+ years in research/forecasting for a financial institution or similar.
• Strong data management, data collection, and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Programming in R or Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage macroeconomic and financial data sets.
• Update data sets and verify revisions for accuracy.
• Document data procedures and workflows.
• Support model development by collaborating with developers.
• Coordinate with vendors and forecasting partners.
• Handle inbound questions and ad hoc requests with timely delivery.
• Interact with downstream modelers and Finance/Treasury teams.
