Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a Data and Integration Engineer for the FPS program. You will own end-to-end data ingestion and build the pipelines that power Rapid FI within the FPS AWS boundary, delivering ingestion, transformation, and delivery layers for Medicaid and OnePI user experiences.

Collaborate with the FPS Innovation Lab to design robust data pipelines using Spark, Airflow, and Kafka, ensuring security, RBAC, and audit logging, while coordinating releases

Qualifications

• 12+ years with BS/BA; 10+ with MS/MA; 7+ with PhD.
• Strong Python/Java and SQL skills.
• Deep AWS core services experience.
• Production Kubernetes / EKS experience.
• PostgreSQL experience; big-data pipelines (Spark/Airflow/Kafka).
• Identity integration (Okta SSO/RBAC) and log routing to CloudWatch/Splunk.
• Experience in regulated environments (Federal/HIPAA).
• US citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Establish the Rapid FI data-ingestion path from FPS sources.
• Design, build, and operate FPS data pipelines for Rapid FI outputs.
• Wire Rapid FI into identity, RBAC, audit, and security; produce docs.
• Run pipelines on FPS platform under security/governance controls.
• Coordinate with the Rapid FI product team on releases and hand-off.
