Dutech Systems is seeking a senior data integration specialist to drive interoperability between health registries and eICR workflows. You will develop data pipelines, dashboards, and automation scripts using SAS, Python, and R, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory data standards.
The role emphasizes handling structured and semi-structured health data, validating data quality, and documenting technical specifications for ongoing maintenance and modernization efforts.
Interoperability Needs Assessment: Assess the current Texas Birth Defects Registry workflows and identify requirements, gaps, and technical steps needed to integrate eICRs and automate the population of selected data fields.
System Requirements Documentation: Develop detailed system requirements documents and reports outlining business needs, technical requirements, system functions, data flows, and workflows necessary for registry interoperability.
Programming and Automation: Develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot programs using SAS, Python, R, or similar statistical programming languages to automate data processing and integrate relevant eICR data into registry workflows.
Dashboard Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain dashboards to support branch operations, case triage, clinical review, data monitoring, and workflow efficiency.
Data Integration and Workflow Optimization: Develop automated workflows to improve data ingestion, processing, standardization, linkage, and matching of health and administrative data.
Testing and Validation: Test and validate automated workflows, data-integration solutions, and programming scripts to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability. Identify issues, troubleshoot errors, and implement improvements.
Registry Modernization: Support initiatives to incorporate electronic health data into existing birth defects registry processes and assist with planning and implementation of eICR integration and other interoperability projects.
Technical Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of source code, scripts, system configurations, data mappings, workflows, validation procedures, technical specifications, and developed solutions to support ongoing maintenance and sustainability.
Database and Data Management: Work with structured and semi-structured datasets, databases, and database queries to support data extraction, transformation, integration, and reporting.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with BDESB staff, technical teams, and external partners to define requirements, assess system limitations, communicate technical findings, and recommend solutions for future interoperability initiatives.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to data quality, automation, system performance, and operational efficiency.
