Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Data Insight Analyst to join the Warner Robins Data Analytics team within Engineering. You will support day-to-day operation, maintenance, and user enablement of BI platforms, working with analysts, data engineers, DBAs, and stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure data tools.

The role involves transforming business requirements into data models, KPIs, and visual storytelling, with dashboards driving operational decisions and executive insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, CS, IS, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field and 3+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or BI roles.
• For Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, CS, IS, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field and 5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or BI roles.
• Will consider 4 additional years of related experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience developing interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and transformation, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience building and managing data models, including relationships, calculated fields, DAX measures, and data validation processes.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into KPIs, metrics, and visually compelling dashboards for operational and executive audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, and validate large datasets from multiple sources (e.g., SQL databases, Excel) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to support operational decision‑making.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear data models, KPIs, and visual storytelling solutions.
• Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights that drive strategic initiatives.
• Bridge operational technology (OT) with IT systems to enable high‑performance data visualization and logging.
• Optimize report and dashboard performance, manage data refresh schedules, and implement governance standards for dashboard consistency and usability.
