Job summary

NVIDIA in Oregon is seeking an experienced data infrastructure engineer to design, implement, and maintain large‑scale data ingestion pipelines and real‑time data serving for AV workloads.

You will optimize distributed systems, build robust data models, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to reduce latency, improve reliability, and scale data platforms across the fleet of vehicles. Experience with Kafka, Spark, and cloud services is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant autonomous vehicles/software infrastructure experience.
• Extensive experience building distributed systems.
• Proven ability to design and build large-scale data ingestion pipelines.
• Strong data warehousing, data modeling, and DBMS knowledge.
• Proficient in Go and C++, with scripting in Python or Matlab on Linux.
• Familiarity with Spark or Hadoop; Kafka/RabbitMQ experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources.
• Design and optimize data serving to deliver AV data in real time and in batch.
• Monitor pipelines and services to ensure data availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processing efficiency and latency.
• Implement data validation and quality checks for ingested data.
• Scale data infrastructure to handle growing AV data volumes.
• Create and maintain documentation for ingestion and serving processes.
• Work with the AV development team to align data requirements with solutions.
• Ensure data security and privacy considerations.
