Job summary

The Voleon Group is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure team. You will help scale data pipelines, build tooling, and collaborate with ML researchers and engineers to enable rapid experimentation and production-grade analytics.

You'll mentor teammates, shape the team's technical roadmap, design robust systems, and contribute to a culture that values clarity, efficiency, and thoughtful engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with large codebases and modular design.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java or C++.
• Experience developing in a Linux/UNIX environment.
• Design and implementation of scalable services and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Guide complex initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment, evaluating dependent technologies and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Build scalable data infrastructure and shape the developer experience, including data cataloging, versioning, and lineage for research and production workflows.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering and research staff to accelerate teammate growth.
