Job summary

Scale AI in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Public Sector Engineering team to architect and build foundational data infrastructure that will serve as the brain of a project ecosystem.

You will design novel data models and processing pipelines to handle massive simulation outputs, ensure low latency, and enable Scale's AI systems to reason over complex, multi-dimensional scenarios.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or data infrastructure experience at senior levels.
• Deep proficiency in systems languages (Rust/Go/C++ or optimized Python/Java/Spark).
• Strong knowledge of memory management, compute limits, and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Data Ensemble to unify diverse data sources for LLM consumption.
• Build scalable, batch-oriented data infrastructure with minimal latency.
• Model complex, relational data for simulation environments used by ML systems.
• Solve highly ambiguous requirements by designing ground-up data systems.
• Set technical standards and drive code quality and performance.
