Job summary

XPENG is seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer to identify edge cases in autonomous driving data, build scalable data lake and warehouse infrastructure, and collaborate with ML Engineers and the Annotation Team to apply data-centric AI principles.

Ideal candidates have a CS background, 3+ years of experience, and skills in SQL, Python, data lakes/warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data modeling. Fluent English and Mandarin are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years industrial experience
• Proficient in English and Mandarin
• Passionate about autonomous driving technology
• Familiar with SQL and some Python
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, distributed data processing, or cloud-based storage systems
• Familiarity with data modeling, schema design, data quality management, and workflow orchestration
• Strong communication skills
• Result-driven & can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Identify edge cases in autonomous driving data that may affect safety or comfort by analyzing massive field-collected datasets.
• Resolve edge cases using in-house toolchains in collaboration with ML Engineers and Annotation Team.
• Monitor efficiency metrics in edge-case resolution and identify root causes for process improvements.
• Build and maintain scalable data lake and data warehouse infrastructure including ingestion, storage, processing and analytics pipelines.
• Manage data quality, schemas, metadata, access controls, and system performance for large-scale autonomous driving data.
