Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Data Stewardship & Governance Senior Consultant to shape how data is managed and protected across the agency. You will coordinate with governance groups, configure catalog rules, and design automated quality checks to drive consistency and safeguards throughout data platforms.

You will partner with data stewards and technical teams to turn governance principles into practical, real-world outcomes that advance data culture and agency maturity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years in data governance, data management, or data stewardship including federal government experience.
• Experience using data cataloging tools and defining metadata and documentation standards (e.g., Alation, Purview, Unity Catalog or equivalent).
• Active SECRET security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with bureau-specific and domain-focused governance groups to build alignment and drive consistency.
• Configure rules and standards in an enterprise data catalog.
• Design logic behind automated quality checks and data quality controls.
• Integrate governance into data platforms and workflows.
• Partner with data stewards and technical teams to implement governance in practice.
