Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a data governance specialist in New Jersey to manage large data sets, develop SQL queries, and ensure data lineage and quality across risk reporting systems.

You will collaborate with Risk, Technology, Compliance, and Operations to implement controls and improve data accuracy through EUC and PDE lineage documentation, while leveraging AI tools to automate governance tasks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in data management with very large datasets.
• Knowledge of database architecture and large data warehouses.
• Ability to develop and interpret basic SQL statements.
• Advanced Excel skills for large, multi-tab spreadsheets.
• Ability to leverage AI to automate data governance activities.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and remediate data used in risk measurement and reporting.
• Ensure completeness, validity, and accuracy of data daily.
• Work with business data users to define data use in risk systems.
• Collaborate with technology to ensure timely operation of risk models and reporting systems.
• Implement effective risk controls of data processes and systems.
• Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes.
• Coordinate with Middle Office, Sales & Trading, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and ECM for data controls over GMRM.
• Maintain EUC data lineage and PDE data lineage documentation in Enterprise tools.
