The role operates independently, contributing to governance maturity with responsibilities such as supporting standards, coordinating stakeholders, and applying governance to improve the reliability of reporting.

The Senior Data Governance Analyst supports enterprise data governance by working directly with data, business stakeholders, data owners, and data stewards to improve metadata, lineage, data quality, ownership, and governance processes. The work is similar to the Lead Analyst role, with the Senior Analyst expected to operate independently on governance issues and use prior experience to provide meaningful input as the team evaluates and matures its processes.
