Job summary

Stanley Reid is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Data Flow Specialist) in Annapolis Junction, MD to design, sustain, and optimize complex data flows, enabling secure storage, transport, and processing. You will guide multiple teams and ensure performance aligns with system and hardware constraints.

Responsibilities include partnering with mission customers on data analysis, enrichment, and transformation to actionable formats, and recommending new technologies while leading SDLC processes.

Qualifications

• Must hold TS/SCI with FS Polygraph clearance.
• Extensive experience in Java, Python, and Bash/Shell in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Expertise with Apache NiFi for complex data flows and orchestration.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Git and Docker in SDLC workflows.
• Proven leadership of agile teams and full software development lifecycle.
• Bonus: Perl scripting and knowledge of data security/compliance policies.

Responsibilities

• Create, sustain, and troubleshoot complex operational data flows including storage, transport, and security.
• Collaborate with mission customers to perform exploratory data analysis and transformation.
• Serve as technical lead overseeing multiple development teams and ensuring quality.
• Recommend new technologies and optimize data flow distributions within system constraints.
