14TH is seeking a Senior Data Engineering Lead to guide a high-performing team responsible for data pipelines, warehousing, and modeling across the platform. You will align data engineering with business strategy and drive end-to-end data initiatives.

The role combines hands-on coding with strategic leadership, shaping standards, architecture, and governance while collaborating with scientists, engineers, and IT teams.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in data engineering, with 3+ years in management.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT/Data Science or related; Master's preferred.
• Deep expertise in data pipeline design, ETL, warehousing, and integration.
• Advanced SQL and Python; familiarity with R is a plus.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP and modern data warehouses.
• Strong project management and delivering on time.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers.

• Translate platform and data strategy into engineering execution.
• Lead standards for modeling, transformation, testing, and documentation.
• Define and execute data engineering roadmap aligned with strategy.
• Split leadership role 50% management / 50% IC.
• Maintain data architecture standards for reliability.

• Architect and build large-scale data migration projects.
• Design and manage ETL pipelines and data warehousing.
• Partner with DevOps to deploy data prototypes.
• Mentor and grow the data engineering team.
• Foster inclusive, collaborative team culture.
• Evaluate technologies and tools to scale data engineering.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with IT teams.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data processes; stay current with trends.
