Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Senior Data Science Analyst to design and build enterprise-grade data pipelines for analytics and AI/ML use cases in Richmond, VA. This hybrid role combines hands-on data engineering with leadership in ETL/ELT design and data governance across cross-functional teams.

You will work with Oracle Exadata, Snowflake, and modern ETL/ELT platforms, delivering reliable, observable pipelines while optimizing cost and performance in a 12‑month engagement.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in data engineering.
• Expert in SQL and ELT patterns.
• Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake or Oracle Exadata.
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT platforms (Talend, dbt, Informatica).
• Strong Python and shell scripting.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for analytics.
• Develop scalable batch and streaming data processing.
• Optimize data models and transformations for performance.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and auditability.
• Collaborate with governance and DataOps teams on metadata.
