Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Data Engineering, Senior Advisor to design and scale ETL pipelines from diverse sources using Python, SQL, Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, and SAP Datasphere. You will drive data governance, architecture, and best practices across Transmission & Distribution, delivering scalable data products and insights for stakeholders.

This hybrid role requires deep experience with big data, cloud data warehouses, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualizes and owns the data architecture for the energy team with data science and engineering teams.
• Improves performance and reduces compute time; optimizes cloud costs.
• Designs and develops end-to-end data pipelines and data models.
• Supports data scientists with predictive models using large-scale datasets and ML techniques.
• Provides metadata management and data governance maturity improvements.
• Delivers data lake/warehouse strategies and data availability enhancements.
• Manages data assets to meet SLAs for uptime and capacity.
• Creates dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
