Job summary

Google.org for Social Impact is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and orchestrate a unified data infrastructure that powers AI-enabled BI and workflow automation. The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, scalable data pipelines, and robust data governance.

You will lead complex ETL constraints, decommission legacy trackers, and drive harmonized source-of-truth assets across multiple data systems while partnering with stakeholders to ensure reliable, timely insights.

Qualifications

• 5 years designing data pipelines and dimensional data modeling for synch and asynch system integration.
• 5 years coding in one or more programming languages.
• 5 years working with data infrastructure and data models via exploratory queries and scripts.

Responsibilities

• Define the architecture and technical solution for a harmonized data infrastructure across internal and external Google.org data systems.
• Reduce data fragmentation by deprecating legacy trackers and owning source-of-truth assets.
• Size, plan, and lead zero-downtime data migrations across pipelines supporting Google.org pillar teams.
• Partner with business and engineering to design scalable AI-BI reporting architectures and AI workflow guardrails.
• Mentor teammates and build cross-team consensus on systems strategy and priorities.
