Job summary

FalconSmartIT is seeking a Data Engineer in Pittsburgh, onsite, with 5+ years of experience to design and implement scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions using Snowflake. You will optimize workloads, develop complex SQL, and collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to deliver reliable data platforms.

Proficiency in Python, ETL/ELT, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) is required, along with Git, CI/CD, Airflow, dbt, and Spark/PySpark knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Strong experience with Python and ETL/ELT.
• Good understanding of data warehousing and data modelling.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.
• Knowledge of Spark/PySpark.
• Exposure to Kafka, data governance, and data security.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and Snowflake workloads.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business teams.
• Triage production data pipeline issues and ensure reliability.
• Follow best practices for code quality, testing, and version control.
