Eliassen Group is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a remote, permanent role focusing on end-to-end governance of the transformation layer. You will design Snowflake transformations, migrate legacy views to dbt models with lineage, and define conformed dimensions to unify multi-ERP environments.

The role emphasizes modeling standards, testing, CI/CD, and strong Python, SQL, and dbt skills. W2, full-time with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data or analytics engineering with 4+ years on a cloud data warehouse.
• Expert SQL with window functions, performance tuning, and incremental loads.
• 3+ years of production dbt experience and building a project from scratch.
• Hands-on Kimball dimensional modeling with SCD 1 and 2.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Snowflake transformation layers from raw to conformed for BI.
• Migrate SQL views to versioned, tested dbt models with full lineage.
• Define conformed dimensions and facts across multi-ERP environments.
• Set modeling, testing, naming, documentation, and CI/CD standards.
• Collaborate with report owners to validate semantic equivalence and minimize BI cutovers.
• Own semantic layer across Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI for consistent metrics.
• Implement data quality testing, observability, and lineage with dbt tests.
• Design models for AI/ML and agent readiness with stable keys and metadata.
• Support AI/ML, RAG, or agentic workloads from a warehouse layer.
