Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for remote, full-time engagement in the United States. The role focuses on owning the governed transformation layer end-to-end, building Snowflake transformations, and migrating legacy views into versioned dbt models with full lineage.

You will define conformed dimensions, operational facts, and standards for modeling, testing, and CI/CD. The position requires hands-on experience with dbt, SQL, and Python, plus 7+ years in data engineering and 3+

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data or analytics engineering.
• 4+ years on a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
• Expert SQL including window functions and incremental loads.
• 3+ years of production dbt experience and project from scratch.
• Hands-on Kimball dimensional modeling with SCDs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the Snowflake transformation layer across raw to conformed to marts.
• Migrate SQL views to versioned, tested dbt models with full lineage.
• Define conformed dimensions and operational facts across multi-ERP environments.
• Set standards for modeling, testing, naming, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Partner with report owners to validate semantic equivalence.
