Job summary

Smart IT Frame LLC is seeking a senior Data Engineer in the Tempe, AZ area for hybrid work. You’ll architect and optimize data platforms on Snowflake, design data models, and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL.

You’ll automate workflows with Airflow, develop semantic models in Power BI, and apply metadata-driven engineering practices. Ideal candidates have 8–12 years of data engineering experience, a CS/Engineering degree, and a track record of integrating diverse data

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platforms.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Expert in Snowflake (Architecture, Data Modeling, Performance Tuning, Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streams & Tasks).
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex (Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, AI-powered analytics).
• Strong expertise in Python and advanced SQL.
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Experience with Power BI datasets, semantic models, and report optimization.
• Proficient in Cursor IDE and AI-assisted development.
• Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and metadata-driven engineering.
• Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, and DataOps practices.
• Experience integrating data from APIs, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems.
