Job summary

Zoox is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Data Engineer to build autonomous, self-healing data pipelines and unify complex enterprise sources (SAP, Workday, Salesforce) into a robust data fabric for AI and analytics. You’ll design resilient ingestion layers, monitor data quality, and enable AI-ready data access across procurement, finance, HR and marketing.

The role requires extensive experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines with Python and SQL, plus expertise with enterprise

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Engineering with hands-on experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL and modern orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, Workday, etc.) and understanding APIs and data models.
• Experience building self-healing systems with circuit breakers, retries and robust monitoring.
• Ability to design scalable, modular architectures across disparate enterprise systems.
• Builder mentality with track record of driving infrastructure projects from architecture to production in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy self-healing data ingestion pipelines that detect anomalies, perform schema evolution, and recover from failures without manual intervention.
• Build robust integration layers for SAP, Workday, Lever, Anaplan and Salesforce CRM.
• Develop telemetry and automated remediation strategies to monitor data quality, latency and pipeline health in near real time.
• Ensure data is cleaned, structured, and served in an AI-ready format for AI agents and analytics workflows.
• Modernize data architecture to handle high-volume data synchronization with security and governance.
