Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead hands-on data engineering on a scalable data platform, with opportunities to mentor others and influence architecture.

This role reports to the Director of Data Engineering and emphasizes end-to-end ownership of data pipelines and platform components. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, enabling analytics and AI/ML workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience on large-scale platforms.
• Experience taking technical ownership of complex data projects from design to delivery.
• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and platform components.
• Take ownership of high-complexity engineering initiatives from design to rollout.
• Mentor other data engineers and review code/architecture.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate data needs into solutions.
