Job summary

Opitz Bürotechnik is seeking a Data Engineer to design and scale end-to-end data and analytics solutions. You will partner with executives, product, data, and design teams to translate business problems into automated data resources and scalable ETL processes.

The role focuses on building data pipelines, optimizing data delivery, and ensuring secure data across multiple databases and Azure regions. Strong SQL and Power Platform experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineer or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Information Systems or related field.
• Advanced SQL knowledge with relational databases and query authoring.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate and Power Platform tools.
• Ability to translate business problems into automated data processes.
• Strong analytic skills with unstructured datasets.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting functional requirements.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements for scalable data delivery.
• Build infrastructure for ETL from diverse data sources using SQL.
• Create Power Platform objects for data insert and consumption.
• Develop analytics tools using the data pipeline for actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams for data needs.
• Keep data separated and secure across databases, servers, and Azure regions.
• Create data tools for analytics and support the data architect.
• Build processes for data transformation, metadata, and workload management.
