Job summary

Providence is seeking an Experienced Senior Data Engineer to advance the enterprise data platform strategy, architecture, governance, and modernization initiatives. You will help define data standards, drive Snowflake maturity, and migrate legacy data assets into a scalable, governed data ecosystem.

This is a remote opportunity within Providence’s HR ecosystem, focused on enabling analytics, reporting, AI, and data product growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business management, information services, or equivalent.
5 years of related experience; software development preferred.
Extensive experience with object-oriented programming in C#, Java, Python or equivalent.
Experience with source code control systems such as Git.
SQL integration development experience with SQL/NoSQL.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as Azure Devops, TFS, and Jira.
Proven track record of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience designing and successfully implementing a large project.
Experience in a healthcare setting.

Define data standards, governance, and metadata practices for enterprise data assets.
Drive Snowflake platform maturity and modernization initiatives.
Lead migration of legacy data assets into a scalable, governed data ecosystem.
Collaborate to strengthen architectural foundations, engineering standards, and operating model for analytics and data products.
