Job summary

Idaho Power, based in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The role offers flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote from our downtown Boise location.

The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and support complex enterprise data solutions enabling trusted analytics and informed decision-making, while guiding architecture decisions and engineering improvements across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience in data engineering, BI, cloud data platforms, data architecture, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support complex enterprise data solutions for trusted analytics and operational decision-making.
• Lead technical delivery for assigned projects and build scalable pipelines, data products, and semantic models.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to architecture decisions, platform modernization, and engineering improvements.
• Mentor peers and collaborate with stakeholders to translate processes into secure, reliable information assets.
