Greystones Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support data-driven decision-making through data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization of complex datasets. Ideal candidate will have experience working with IRS data and translating findings into actionable insights for stakeholders. This is a remote role with salary depending on experience.

Salary will be determined based on experience. Range: $70k-140K.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Candidates must obtain a Federal Public Trust Clearance; US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency required.
• Must comply with Federal vaccine mandate.
• Supports analytical data pipelines, system integration, and production continuity.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or production analytics system support roles.
• Experience supporting analytics across both legacy and modern platforms.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Government clients to understand business needs, define research objectives, identify data sources, and develop analysis plans.
• Build pipelines for data engineering and machine learning with data scientists.
• Develop tools for data visualization and analysis with software developers.
• Design and develop responsive web applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code in JavaScript and Python.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce security and performance standards.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and work with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and refactor existing code with detailed documentation.
• Propose innovative technical solutions to business challenges.
• Implement secure data exchange protocols and integrate with third-party services.
• Manage code repositories using Git and support deployment processes.
• Provide ongoing production support and monitor application health.
• Create technical documentation throughout the SDLC.
• Gather, clean, and explore large datasets to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Evaluate model performance and present findings to stakeholders.
• Prepare written reports, dashboards, or presentations translating technical concepts into clear language.
