Tandem Theory in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Data Engineer to lead data pipelines and client-integrated solutions. You’ll own data platforms for several clients, translate business goals into data strategies, and set expectations with stakeholders.

This hands-on role combines engineering leadership without direct reports, with strong SQL, Python, Airflow, and cloud data warehousing skills. You’ll work directly with clients, review code, and design scalable data solutions that drive measurable

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years hands-on data engineering experience.
• Advanced SQL with performance tuning and procedures.
• ETL/ELT development in SQL and Python, with Airflow.
• Experience with AWS and Google Cloud (GCP).
• Proactive client interaction and requirement handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead client work and own data pipelines for multiple clients.
• Translate business goals into data solutions and set scope with clients.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers and managers across the agency.
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines and integrations.
• Move and model data across platforms using established ETL/ELT patterns.
