Job summary

KnowBe4 is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain a high-scale, near real-time data platform for global product teams. You will work from Brazil in a remote environment, coordinating across US time zones while handling high-throughput event streams and modern data platforms.

You will design core infrastructure and tooling, transform raw streams into optimized data models, and ensure data quality and security in collaboration with SRE/InfoSec and product teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years hands-on data engineering building production platforms.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and Lakehouse/Data Lake fundamentals.
• Familiarity with high-throughput event streaming and real-time processing.
• Strong English communication across international teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the data platform infrastructure, pipelines, orchestration, and warehousing.
• Implement scalable data models and orchestration to transform streams into optimized data models for downstream use.
• Extend data platform tooling and manage release, monitoring, and maintenance of production pipelines.
• Collaborate with product teams and SRE/InfoSec to ensure data quality and security.
• Incorporate AI tooling to accelerate development and improve context management.
