Job summary

Aritzia is seeking a Senior Data Engineer/Data Engineer to bridge data modeling and analytics, transforming raw data into reliable assets and actionable insights. You will partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions and data products that empower data‑driven decisions.

You will mentor juniors, ensure data quality and governance, and contribute to real‑time data pipelines for timely customer insights in a fast‑growing Digital Technology environment.

Qualifications

• Proven background in computer science, software or data engineering.
• Proficient in at least one programming language and SQL.
• Experience delivering modern cloud solutions, with GCP preferred.
• Experience with data warehousing (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and Airflow.
• Marketing Technologies or Customer Data Platforms experience preferred.
• Familiar with Event‑Driven Architecture and Pub/Sub integration.
• Curious about applying AI to accelerate workflows.
• Commitment to Aritzia's values and leadership principles.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines (batch and real-time).
• Partner with analytics, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver data models for CDP and data products.
• Build and manage robust ETL/ELT workflows for diverse data sources.
• Establish data quality, governance, privacy, and security standards.
• Evolve customer data architecture for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Contribute to identity resolution and CDP capabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Support real-time and streaming data pipelines for timely insights.
