McGraw Hill in the United States is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to advance product eventing, data platforms, and analytics capabilities. You will design scalable, reliable data solutions transforming learning interactions into actionable insights.

Embedded with product platform teams, you’ll build end-to-end event pipelines on AWS and Databricks, ensure data quality, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with modern data architectures.
• Expertise in event-driven data, lakehouse patterns, and Delta Lake.
• Experience with AWS and Databricks ecosystem.
• Strong SQL and Python/Scala skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and build meaningful learning events and scalable pipelines.
• Develop real-time and near-real-time ETL/ELT using Spark and Databricks.
• Ensure end-to-end data quality, monitoring, and alerting.
• Implement Databricks Workflows and CI/CD for production pipelines.
• Apply performance optimization and partitioning strategies.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to translate requirements.
• Document architecture, data flows, and data asset definitions.
