Job summary

BitGo in Palo Alto, CA, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering team and scale our data platform, reporting infrastructure, and data-driven products. You will work as both a software and data engineer, building robust pipelines and exposing data for product teams.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in software and data engineering, experience with TypeScript/Node.js/Python, SQL, Kafka, and data-warehouse tools. On-site role with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years combined Software and Data Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with server-side languages (TypeScript/Node.JS/Python).
• Experience with SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL) and RESTful APIs.
• Proven data pipelines/ETL design and data warehousing knowledge.
• Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Git, CI tools, Jira/Confluence, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines from internal systems.
• Integrate external data sources to enrich the data platform.
• Develop applications supporting customer-facing products and internal systems.
• Enhance BitGo’s blockchain reporting and automated reconciliation.
• Ensure data quality and audibility across pipelines.
• Optimize for near real-time processing and insights.
• Develop self-service tools for data consumers to extract insights.
• Prototype new technologies to advance data engineering.
