Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, LP is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and manage the data platform and pipelines for large-scale analytics. You will develop real-time and batch data processing, ensure data quality, and deploy ML models to production while collaborating with business teams.

The role requires a strong background in cloud data technologies, SQL, Python, CI/CD, and experience with Databricks or Spark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years as a data engineer with full-stack capabilities.
• 10+ years of programming experience.
• 5+ years in cloud technologies like Azure, AWS or Google.
• Strong SQL and Python; experience with ML pipelines a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines.
• Ingest, curate, and provision data for analytics and data science.
• Develop data products and intelligent APIs.
• Lead architecture design for BI, AI/ML data needs.
• Mentor team members and drive CI/CD practices.
