American Homes4Rent,LP seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design and maintain real‑time and batch data pipelines for analytics and data science. You will build data products and intelligent APIs, ensure scalable architectures, and mentor peers in CI/CD practices.

The role requires 8+ years in data engineering, strong Python and SQL skills, and cloud experience with Azure/AWS. Prior Databricks/Spark and BI tool expertise is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years as a data engineer with full-stack capabilities.
• 10+ years of programming experience; strong SQL.
• Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP) required.
• Experience with ML pipelines and real-time data processing.
• Proficiency in Python; CI/CD practices; data modeling.
• Hands-on with Databricks/Spark; Kafka and EventHub.
• Experience in BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for large data volumes.
• Create tools for ingestion, curation, and provisioning of complex data.
• Build data products and intelligent APIs to support analytics.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and add new features.
• Lead data architecture work for BI, AI/ML initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and code reviews focused on CI/CD.
