Job summary

TEK-Engineers is a Texas-based software solutions company delivering automated and robust software engineering solutions, IT services, and data-driven products. This position focuses on real-time big data initiatives in a fully remote environment with Dallas metro preference.

You will build and automate data processing pipelines on AWS, mentor teams, and help shape development standards while collaborating with analytics, reporting, and data science groups to drive impactful insights.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of modern big data technology, including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, NiFi, Python and Spark.
• Knowledge of real time data streaming and aggregation architectural patterns and practice
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python
• Hands on experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, DMS services
• Familiarity with NoSQL as well as SQL databases
• Data modeling and machine learning skill is a plus

Responsibilities

• Make major contribution to the implementation of our real time big data initiative
• Build and automate productized data processing pipelines in AWS big data platform
• Help improve our development process and standards through mentoring and leading-by-example
• Create data environment to support our data analytics, reporting and data science teams

Education

Bachelor’s degree Required.

Master’s Degree Desirable
