Bloomberg is seeking a Senior Data Management Professional - Data Engineering for Private Funds in New York. You will design and manage data pipelines, automate ETL workflows, and drive end-to-end data solutions for private markets and hedge funds. Lead projects and collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Sales to deliver impactful data products.

The role emphasizes ownership of production pipelines, improving reliability, and shaping operational standards within a fast-paced data team.

Qualifications

BA/BS in CS, Statistics, or related field or equivalent professional work experience.
4+ years of Python programming in a production environment.
4+ years of experience with NoSQL databases.
Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Build and enhance data pipelines and processes powering Bloomberg’s Private Funds and Hedge Funds Databases.
Identify automation opportunities and implement scalable ETL solutions, including human-in-the-loop workflows.
Standardize pipelining practices across the team and department for efficiency.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Sales to deliver data solutions aligned with business goals.
Take ownership of existing data pipelines in production, ensuring stability and continuous improvement.
Contribute to best practices in development, cross-team collaboration, and service reliability.
