Job summary

Bloomberg L.P. is seeking a Senior Data Management Professional - Data Engineering for Private Funds in New York. The role focuses on building data pipelines, ETL automation, and end-to-end delivery of data products for Private Funds and Hedge Funds datasets.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Sales and own end-to-end project delivery, driving reliability, scalability, and operational excellence in a dynamic data-centric environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or relevant data technology field, or equivalent professional work experience.
• 4+ years of Python programming in production
• 4+ years of experience with NoSQL databases
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in distributed teams
• Ability to influence others and lead change

Responsibilities

• Build and elevate data pipelines and processes powering Bloomberg’s Private Funds and Hedge Funds databases.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement scalable ETL solutions with human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Standardize pipelining practices to promote efficiency and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Sales to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Own existing data pipelines and services in production, ensuring stability and reliability.
• Contribute to best practices in development and cross-team collaboration.
