Job summary

McGraw Hill Education is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to advance our data platform and BI capabilities. You will design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines on AWS and Databricks, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, driving reliable insights across financial, product, and customer domains.

You will work with stakeholders, analysts, and product teams to translate complex data requirements into scalable engineering solutions, leveraging PySpark/Scala, SQL, and Databricks workflows

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering.
• Deep expertise with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and medallion architecture.
• Strong SQL and Python/Scala for large-scale data transformation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver data solutions on Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines on AWS and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain pipelines with Databricks Workflows and orchestration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
• Lead data governance and ensure production reliability and scalability.
