Job summary

Union Plus seeks a Senior Integration and Data Engineer to own data integrations and observability, building scalable pipelines and dashboards. You will collaborate with data analysts and marketing to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and actionable insights across the member data ecosystem.

You will manage cloud infrastructure, contribute to data architecture strategy, and drive improvements in data quality, security, and disaster recovery. Hybrid work options in the DC area are available.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Python development experience.
• 2+ years of integrating with a customer engagement or marketing automation platform (Iterable preferred; Braze, Klaviyo, SFMC also relevant).
• Hands-on experience with a modern observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience managing cloud infrastructures and multiple tools/environments.

Responsibilities

• Own data integrations with Iterable, Bird and Twilio; develop and maintain pipelines; meet SLAs for data freshness and accuracy.
• Manage observability stack; define monitoring, build dashboards, and lead incident response.
• Contribute to and monitor Python-based integrations.
• Support management and auditing of Google Cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
• Maintain Linux environments using VMs, Docker, etc.
• Contribute to data architecture discussions and implement data health improvements across SQL, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
• Assist with internal/external data exchanges, API and CLI development, testing frameworks, disaster recovery and security.
• Partner with Marketing Data Analyst to build pipelines and dashboards for business management.
