Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and implement data pipelines powering analytics. This hands‑on role requires strong data engineering practices and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

You will help model the Core Data Domain, build ETL/ELT pipelines, ensure data quality and governance, and collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver impactful BI and ML-ready datasets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience in analytics or data science.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to write complex queries.
• Experience with cloud-based data pipelines (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance best practices in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Model and optimize data models and schemas for analytics and reporting.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources.
• Optimize performance with partitioning and clustering.
• Establish data quality standards and governance.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate with BI and ML models.
• Document data pipelines and mentor junior engineers.
• Design data infrastructure for analytical workloads and data marts.
