The role is hands-on data engineering, analytics, and ML engineering with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Looker, Vertex AI, and related tools. You will collaborate with clients and senior architects to deliver end-to-end data and AI solutions.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, ML Engineering, or related fields.
• 4+ years practical experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• 5+ years experience with SQL, data modeling, and building data pipelines.
• 3+ years experience with Python or AI or GenAI tools (Vertex AI preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (min 12 years).

Aufgaben

• Hands-on technical delivery.
• Build data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
• Assist with data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization in BigQuery.
• Implement data ingestion patterns for batch and streaming data sources.
• Support development of dashboards and analytics products using Looker or Looker Studio.
• Assist in developing ML/AI solutions using Vertex AI, Gemini models, embeddings, and Model APIs.
• Implement ML pipelines and help establish MLOps processes (monitoring, retraining, deployment).
• Support prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Contribute to model testing, validation, and documentation.
• Participate in client workshops to understand data needs and translate requirements into tasks.
• Communicate progress and blockers to project leads and client stakeholders.
• Implement metadata management, data quality checks, and lineage tracking using Dataplex, IAM.
• Follow security and compliance best practices.
• Learn and apply GCP Data & AI best practices across patterns and frameworks.
