Job summary

Oteemo Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement AI features end to end—from data pipelines through GenAI and agentic workflows to production deployment.

You will build scalable, secure data pipelines across polyglot client environments, develop AI/ML/BI systems, and implement MLOps/LLMOps practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will own technical workstreams autonomously, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to model evaluation, guardrails, reliability, and cost

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, leading technical workstreams and mentoring teams.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL; able to work in polyglot environments (Scala, Java) if needed.
• Experience building Agentic AI, Generative AI, ML, and BI systems; including prompt design and RAG.
• Deep knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD for data workflows, and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong data security, governance controls, and RBAC implementation experience.
• Exceptional time management and ability to own technical workstreams autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Help design and implement AI features end to end from data pipelines to production deployment.
• Build scalable, secure data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows in Python/SQL across client environments.
• Develop AI/ML/BI systems using RAG, embeddings, vector databases and modern frameworks.
• Implement MLOps/LLMOps practices including CI/CD and automated evaluation across clouds.
• Enforce data security and governance including PII/PHI handling and RBAC.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion software engineering best practices.
