Job summary

Accenture is seeking a hands-on Data & AI Engineer in California to join our Google Cloud practice. You will design and deliver data pipelines, analytics apps, and ML solutions using BigQuery, Looker, Vertex AI, and Gemini models, collaborating with clients and senior architects.

Bring 5+ years in data engineering or ML, strong SQL, Python, and GCP experience, and a passion for building scalable data platforms in a delivery-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, ML Engineering, or related fields.
• 4+ years practical experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• 5 years of experience with SQL, data modeling, and building data pipelines.
• 3 years of experience with Python or AI or GenAI tools (Vertex AI preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (12 years total).

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Technical Delivery.
• Build data pipelines, ETL/ELT using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
• Assist with data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization in BigQuery.
• Implement data ingestion patterns for batch and streaming data sources.
• Support dashboards and analytics products using Looker or Looker Studio.
• Assist in developing ML models and AI solutions using Vertex AI and Gemini models.
• Implement ML pipelines and establish MLOps processes (monitoring, retraining, deployment).
• Support prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG experimentation.
• Contribute to model testing, validation, and documentation.
• Requirements gathering & client collaboration in workshops.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks and implementation plans.
• Support data governance, quality & security using Dataplex, IAM.
• Collaborate with senior data engineers, ML engineers, and architects.
• Contribute to accelerators, documentation, and reusable components.
• Stay current with GCP releases and AI frameworks.
