Nextech is a leader in specialty healthcare technology solutions. We seek a Senior Data Engineer to join a six-person Data Services team supporting mission-critical healthcare applications.

You will design robust data pipelines and lakehouse solutions, build AI-ready schemas, and mentor junior engineers while partnering with Product Engineering and FP&A to deliver reliable analytics across the organization.

Competenze

• 7+ years of production data engineering experience.
• Experience building data pipelines at scale.
• Experience with AI-ready data architectures.

• The Senior Data Engineer will join a six-person Data Services team supporting mission-critical healthcare applications.
• They will help build the enterprise lakehouse, curate the semantic layer for AI-driven analytics, and partner with Product Engineering and FP&A.

Essential Functions:

• Design and build robust data pipelines and lakehouse solutions using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, and Python.
• Design AI-ready schemas, semantic layers, and metadata structures that allow AI agents to query data accurately and reliably.
• Mentor junior engineers on data engineering best practices and architecture patterns.
• 7+ years of production experience in data engineering roles with hands-on pipeline building at scale.
• Advanced proficiency with Python and PySpark or Apache Spark in production environments.
• Hands-on production experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable modern data platforms.
